Hi, Mithanja! How are you?

Hi! I feel very good! My spirits are soaring as the temperature in the air does.

Tell us a little about yourself and your shortcomings.

I'm a real mess-Maja! I have too many thoughts and ideas in my head at the same time. As a result, I never finish a project before moving on to the next one. Unfortunately, this takes its toll on the home the most, as household chores are at the bottom of the priority list. The problem is that my brain works at its absolute best when I have it tidy around me. So it's going to be quite a moment 22.

When and where do you feel best? At your worst?

I feel at my best when I have the chance to recover and gather my strength alone. I do this either at the gym or at home in my bed with something good to eat and a good movie. You might not think that I have an introverted side. But I do. Me-time is the most important thing for me. Other than that, I love spending time with friends and family. I feel at my worst when I'm stressed. So I try to avoid that.

You always talk about "Strength comes in all shapes and sizes"? What does training mean to you?

Training has looked very different for me over the years. And it definitely hasn't always been linked to well-being. I used to have a rather destructive view of both exercise and diet. But my relationship with exercise changed when I started doing it. Because my body deserved and felt good about it. Not to punish it.

Do you have any training tips? And what is a Bulgarian split squat?

My advice is to start slowly! Don't go in with the mindset that you're going to run six sessions your first week. We all know that tactic rarely holds up. It's how you train over time that will yield results. So a missed session here and there won't make a difference in the long run.

A BSS is where hell and heaven meet, you might say. Haha! It burns and is terribly annoying. Yet you love it for exactly the same reasons.

You are vegan? Do you have any good food tips?

Yay! But I am definitely not a master in the kitchen. There are flaws there too, ha ha. I do have one dish that I make if I want to impress someone and that is a mushroom pasta. Make it like this:

  • Sauté the onions and mushrooms with a little barbecue sauce (the sweetness of it works magic).
  • Add the soy fillet pieces, oat cream, garlic, vegetable stock, soy sauce, salt and pepper (or whatever spices/other ingredients you wish).
  • Served with your favourite pasta. Top with cherry tomatoes! 😋

Are you taking any vitamins or supplements?

I try to remember every morning! Especially B12 since I'm vegan. In addition, I take Magnesium, Omega-3, Vitamin D and Iron.

Finally. What happens in the future? Career? Summer plans?

Who knows? Tomorrow is not promised so I try to live as much here and now as I can, even if it may sound cliché. But it's easy to forget the present because you're two years ahead and trying to plan. The most important thing for me is that all the decisions I make are for me and for me to be at my happiest. That benefits both myself and the people around me.

That said, I'm tinkering with some things career-wise. Maybe I'll be seen (read: heard) on a whole new platform soon? 🤔

For the summer it will be a lot of Skåne (back to the roots) but also a trip to Spain with friends is planned! First trip since the pandemic. How I have longed!
