Negative stress

Stress is part of our daily lives and something we must constantly manage and find a balance between positive and negative stress. Common causes of negative stress can be high demands, unmet needs, over- and under-stimulation, conflicts, perceived lack of time, etc. Our bodies are designed to cope with short-term stress, to escape or to fight for short periods of time. The everyday life many of us live today leads to chronic, long-term stress with too little recovery, which negatively affects our health. We can feel tired and exhausted, find it difficult to focus and even feel depressed.

To help the body, regular exercise, extra rest, asking for help, practising saying no and of course prioritising a varied, healthy diet are recommended.

Saffron - the world's most expensive spice

Most people know saffron as a fragrant spice, perhaps most commonly used in Christmas baking in Sweden, but in other countries it is more commonly used in cooking. Saffron crocus has been cultivated for over 3,000 years but traces of saffron have been found in depictions in Iran that are as much as 50,000 years old! Saffron is the world's most expensive and exclusive spice and it's no wonder as it takes at least 100,000-150,000 crocuses, which have to be picked and cleaned by hand, to extract 1kg of corked saffron.

Saffron contains the substance crocin, which gives the spice its beautiful yellow-red colour but is also attributed with several of saffron's fine properties. Saffron is added to Good Mood as it has a relaxing effect on the body but also contributes to a positive mood and emotional balance.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an herb/root that has become very popular in the Western world in recent years but is not really a novelty. Ashwagandha has been used for about 4000 years in Ayurveda in India and is also called "Indian ginseng". Ashwagandha is known to affect the quality of life in our daily lives. Mainly through a calming and soothing sensation, which creates better conditions for harmony and happiness.

Behind this property lies Ashwagandhan's ability to help us cope with the stresses of everyday life. It counteracts the negative effects of stress and promotes mental and physical relaxation.

Rose Red

Rose root belongs to the category of adaptogens and can have a positive effect on physical exhaustion and emotional stress. Rose root is a plant that gets its name from the fact that its root has a lovely scent of roses. Rose root thrives best in colder climates and therefore grows in our Swedish mountains, among other places. Rose root is thought to have properties that support the body both mentally and physically in times of stress, which can contribute to increased energy and well-being.

Lactium®

Lactium® is the name of a special patented peptide extracted from the milk protein casein. This peptide was actually discovered thanks to babies. By observing how recently fed newborn babies were so calmed by milk, they began to look at which substance or substances had this effect. Researchers managed to identify a hydrolysed milk protein that contained a bioactive peptide attributed with these properties called alpha-casozepine. Lactium® was launched on the market in 2002 and won a bronze medal at Health Ingredients Europe in 2004 for "Most Innovative Nutritional Ingredient of the Year".

Lactium® contains less than 0.5% lactose.
