Turmeric

Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a tropical root/herb in the ginger family. Turmeric originates from tropical parts of Asia and has been used in Asian cuisine for a long time and also in Indian medicine. In recent years, we in the Western world have also increased our use of turmeric both in food and in the form of supplements thanks to all the studies published on a regular basis about the benefits of turmeric. Turmeric has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect, which means that many people appreciate turmeric for joint problems, for example. Turmeric also seems to have a positive effect on digestion and liver function. There are several active substances in turmeric but the most studied are curcuminoids.

Curcumin C3 Complex®

Since curcuminoids are attributed to most of turmeric's health benefits, we have chosen the highly concentrated, standardized extract C3 Complex®. With C3 Complex®, we can guarantee a content of 95% curcuminoids, which gives 475 mg per tablet! Curcuminoids also give turmeric its beautiful yellow/golden color. Curcumin C3 Complex® is the most clinically studied turmeric extract on the market and is also used as the Gold Standard for turmeric extracts.

Black pepper extract

To further optimise the product, we have added a patented black pepper extract, Bioperine®, with a standardised amount of piperine. Piperine is the most active ingredient in black pepper and what gives black pepper its strong taste. Studies show that piperine increases the absorption of certain nutrients and herbs, including curcumin in turmeric. Bioperine® contains a minimum of 95% piperine and increases the bioavailability of turmeric's curcuminoids for optimal absorption in the body.
