EPA and DHA
We all need fat for our bodies to function properly. There are some fatty acids that are more important than others and that the body cannot produce itself, essential fatty acids. Two of these are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and they are found in high concentrations in cold-water oily fish and even krill.
Vegan alternative
Many people today choose not to buy products from these sources for various reasons. It may be an allergy to fish, a decision not to eat animal products, or it may be a question of how fishing or these sources of omega-3 are managed. Whatever the reason, we at Elexir Pharma have an alternative of the absolute highest quality possible in the form of Vegan Omega-3.
Vegan Omega-3 is made from algae instead of fish, specifically Schizochytrium sp algae which is naturally rich in Omega-3. However, we're not content with just the source of the essential fatty acids being vegan, the whole capsule and its contents are. This is to make Vegan Omega-3 suitable for everyone.
Vegan Omega-3 is a dietary supplement to be taken daily. We recommend that you take 1-2 capsules with a meal, preferably in conjunction with a meal. This provides 300-600 mg total of EPA and DHA which then contributes to the normal functioning of the heart. At an intake of at least 250 mg DHA daily, this fatty acid contributes to normal brain function and maintenance of normal vision.
